This is the area where we have been seeing all the marine life.

Stubbs Island is just to the left ( or northwest) of our anchorage.

At the top of the chart is the beginning of Queen Charlotte Strait and Blackfish Sound connects Johnstone Strait to it.

At the bottom of the chart is the end of Johnstone Strait and Weynton Passage connects to that. 

You can see by the arrows and the squiggles the currents and whirlpools that are in this area.  Currents bring in food and the marine life, especially the whales, have to pass through here not only to enjoy the rich food supply but also to get to the main highways which they travel on.

The little green boat is where we are anchored – right in the middle of all the action!
